Event Description : CT Hunting & Fishing Appreciation Day features hunting & fishing workshops, hunting dog demonstrations, .22 rifle & archery ranges, casting pools, kid's crafts & activities, cowboy action shooting, and a Turkey Calling Contest:  Adults and youths can participate in Open (any call type) and Friction (e.g. slate, glass, box, etc.) competitions.  Register by Sept. 19 at 860.675.8130.  More info at www.ct.gov/dep/hunfishday.
