Event Description : Join us as we celebrate hunters, anglers, and boaters of all ages! This event is free to the public and runs from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Try your hand at archery and air rifles. Take your friends and family fishing with our staff down by the lakes and test your casting skills in our Cast-a-Way Course. Join Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources employee Norm Minch for an antler scoring workshop at 11 a.m. or meet deer biologist David Yancy at 1 p.m. In addition, a Conservation Officer will be available to answer any questions and you can check out a demonstration of one of our K-9 units. Interested in falconry? Brent McCarty will demonstrate the centuries old traditions of this hunting practice. Is bowhunting your favorite? Well, try an activity from KDFWR’s exciting new “Explore Bowhunting” program. Representatives from Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation and many others will be here to share information about their organization.
