Lesson 2: How to Tie a Knot and Bait a
Location: Bilby Ranch Conservation Area (Skidmore, MO, 64487).
Cost: Free! Fishing equipment, instructors/coaches and bait/lures will be provided.
Date: Tuesday, June 23, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Age: 7-15 and families with children. Adults who do not wish to fish must accompany their child(ren) at all times.

Lesson 1 will focus on equipment, casting, and proper fishing handling techniques. Participants will receive hands-on instruction and help teach youth anglers and families basic fishing skills. This lesson will teach participants how to properly and safely cast a spin cast fishing pole, parts of a fishing pole, how to fasten basic fishing tackle and how to properly handle and release a fish.
Lesson 2 will focus on how to properly tie a fishing knot and bait a hook. In this lesson, participants will receive hands-on instruction on how to tie an improved clinch knot and how to properly secure a variety of baits to various types of hooks.
