Event Description : The communities’ annual outdoor festival, offers both traditional and new types of outdoor activities. Many of the hands-on activities we are trying to offer include: demonstration of outdoor adventure sports (climbing, rafting, kayaking fly-fishing), gear clinics, wilderness safety, interpretive trail hikes, birding, and other outdoor-based activities, including informational booths of various outdoor organizations and resources. Families will have the opportunity to gather information and/or skills they may need to better continue their adventures in the outdoors.

Besides celebrating with children and families that our community is an active, exciting and fun place to live, work and play, the goal of this festival is to provide information and education through hands-on activities to increase awareness of, participation in and appreciation of the many outdoor opportunities in our community and beyond.
