The local celebration will be at the Northwest Texas Field and Stream Gun Club, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Heavy on tradition, and focused on the love of hunting, club members open their shooting facilities on that day for everyone. Families and youth are particularly encouraged to participate in a "Fun Shoot" at the youth range. You can take aim at targets that run the gambit from traditional to soda cans. An introduction to trap shooting also will be available. All are invited to join in the fun. Add to that a free hot dog lunch and you've got the makings of a great Saturday.
